When the month of hungry ghost festival comes….

August 25, 2005 at 10:44 am | In Uncategorized | 2 Comments

I noticed that things can go wrong when it come to the month of hungry ghost……I am sure it’s not b’coz I am too superstitious or anything, but it’s the reality that some ppl cannot accept. Whether it’s the trend or what, but it’s weired, and glad that it’s going to end soon.

Fact#1: This morning, bank M informed that co. account is short of fund…..after we checked only realized that the bank A unable to process the fund transfer due to the system down. According to Bank A, they knew it yesterday but didn’t inform us. Bank A is unable to do the transmission b’coz of technical error, and they are in the transition of merging with another Bank.

Fact#2: We bank in a cheque which has 5 digits, but the bank’s clerk is too smart to input 4 digits, which make it a huge difference. Another heart attack to us due to short of fund, but this time is human error. This happened more than 2 weeks ago but we still cannot use the fund coz Bank M is still investigating, meanwhile we have to put in more fund to cover the shortage and bank charges incurred too. Funny-ah!!!

Fact#3: While writing this blog, my colleagues informed me that a lorry hit of our company car. Poor driver, he has to pay us for being careless.

Fact#4: The haze keep coming instead of rain.

Fact#5: Can someone tell me the # of plane crash in this month??? Due to whether??? Pilot restless??? OR it’s hungry ghosts festival???

My trouble maker – Domestic maid

August 24, 2005 at 3:23 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

I have an Indo maid who is supposed to help me out taking care of Jo2 when I go to work. I know that it’s very common to hear ppl said this and that about their maid. So, I would say hiring a maid is like gambling – base on luck. If you are lucky to hire a good one, then you save a lot. But, if it’s the other way round, then they actually cause the employer “tau kac tia” just like me.

My maid is with me for more than 1 year, which mean she came 7 months before Jo2 is born. I swear I never bother to ask her to do this do that, acting like a “tau ke so”, she was free to do the household chores whatever she likes and whenever she likes until 1 month after my confinement, after I gave birth to Jo2. Now, only she has an infant to take care of while I am still at home to assist.

So far, I appreciate her help b’coz she is the one I have to rely on to take care of my baby Jo2. She changed a lot recently. It started when she ask me to let her do her prayer…..my first respond – “no”, but she still ignore my “no” and pray even though she promised not to….and as usual my react was pretending I don’t know.(As long as it’s not too obvious, I am not a strict person and it’s not my style too)

Recently, more and more things happened in between that I am not going to list it out here until yesterday I really cannot “tahan’liao” and so I ask my agent to came to my house to give her lesson. The comment from my agent is that “this maid is really “tic ki” (stubborn) nothing much can do…..everything you said she sure to come with an excuse…bla bla bla….

Actually, I really mad with her of not informing me that Jo2 felt down / knock his head somewhere or for what reason he got blublack on his forehead which until today I haven’t know the truth b’coz she lied to me that nothing happen in the day time. The first time I saw a blueblack was last Tuesday, and the second time was yesterday, which mean it happen 2 times in a week. I really cannot stand that, I think it’s time I have to do something.

Little girl is safe

On Monday, I blogged about a SMS that I received asked for O -ve blood donation. I felt relief that the little girl has actually undergo an operation on the same day. According to Star newspaper they actaully have sufficient amouunt of blood the day before, but they know that the message is still keep flying from one handphone to another coz there’s no way they can stop it. This actually is a reflection of how helpful people can be when it comes to something that invlove lives. Even though they are looking for some rare blood type.

Papa2jojo is a regular blood donor to the General Hospital in Penang. This recall me a recent scene when he brought Jo1 with him for blood donation. Here’s what Jo1 told me when I came home from work:
Jo1: Mummy, mummy, just now papa went to “doctor” (means Hospital), then the nurse ask him to sit on a very comfortable chair, and then put something on papa’s hand, then papa pump pump pump his hand. U know, after that I got this bread, just like the one u bought for me. Heee Heee

Jo1 looks very happy holding the bread, and I don’t think she understand that papa donate his blood. In return, they gave her the bread instead of the usual vitamins for blood donors as it’s out of stock-liao…according to the nurse.

August 15, 2005 at 1:52 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

I received a SMS from a good friend of mine which stated:

Help me SMS as much as u can. God bless u. TQ. Urgent! Child 4 years old Yau Jia Xin need O negative blood at Nam Hwa Yi Hospital, Penang. Pls contact 012-4275813 / 012-4930031.

As far as I am concern, this type of blood is very rare, but I hope by posting this message in my blog will at least help. So, for those who happened to know anybody with “O” -ve blood, please lend a hand…. b’coz O-ve can only take O-ve blood and I have 2 colleagues that has O blood group but it’s O+ve. Yet, I myself it’s a B+ve type and so does my 2 little one. (Of course-la, they are “Made by mama2jojo” what!!!)

Bedtime Conversation

August 12, 2005 at 7:54 am | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

I don’t have the habit of telling bedtime story to my kids b4 they sleep. Instead, Jo1 and me will have a short conversation while lying on the bed. So, here’s what what we talked about last nite:

Topic: Singular/plural (with “s” or w/o “s”)
Jo1: Mummy………..”lips” got “s” or not?
mama2jojo: Yes, b’cos we got upper lips and lower lips.
Jo1: How about nose?
mama2jojo: No. I have 1 nose.
Jo1: But I have 2. (poiting at her nozzle)
mama2jojo: Ha Ha Ha. It’s nose, no “s” b’cos got 1 only.
Jo1: How about hair? Got “s” or not?
mama2jojo No.
Jo1: But I got so many…….u said more than 1 means got “s” what?(look puzzle)
mama2jojo B’cos when it’s too many and we cannot count……also no “s”-la…………ok, ok sleep already. Good nite

ok, ok, the truth is that mummy actually afraid that she might ask something that I can’t answer, so quickly I ended the conversation. I know definately she has more question in her mind, that she will continuing asking me with no ending.

Give way to AMBULANCE, pls… …

August 11, 2005 at 1:28 pm | In Uncategorized | 1 Comment

This morning while driving Jo1 to her nursery, I heard there was a siren of ambulance coming behind me. As usual, I am always ready to give way but the car behind me seems like so unwilling to do so. I saw it from my rear mirror, the ambulance was just right behind her car but she stopped at the traffic lights junction and don’t even bother to shift her car aside so that the ambulance can overtake. What a pity scene.

  • Don’t just sit there and do nothing (move your butt even though the lights is red)
  • Don’t be selfish, think of others and people who needed medical treatment urgently (it involves a human life) even though it’s not your love one or someone you know.
  • Don’t give way to VIP only (b’coz they have policemen in front of them)
  • It will be a shame thing for drivers to receive a summon for not giving way to ambulance. (wonder this should be imply???)

So, I take this opportuniy to teach Jo1 a lesson as well.
